As part of Sunday’s Keep Pounding game, the Panthers will honor those who have had their lives impacted by cancer.
Kicker Joey Slye keeps pounding for his late brother AJ:
“He was my hero. He was my brother. He’s someone I’ve looked up to my whole life and someone I really pull energy from. Whenever things are tough, whenever I’m going through adversity, I think about him and what he had to go through. It puts things into perspective on how hard my situation is comparatively. I do it for him and I do it for everyone that’s still fighting, plus the brothers, sisters and family members that are out there going through a situation like that.”
